He died without ever knowing the success of his Millennium trilogy. The books \u2013 &#8220;The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, &#8220;The Girl Who Played With Fire&#8221; and &#8220;The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet&#8217;s Nest&#8221; &#8211; have sold more than 45 million copies worldwide. Larsson\u2019s longtime partner, Eva Gabrielsson, says the books could not have been written without her, and she\u2019s now locked in a bitter dispute with the author&#8217;s family. They disagree on the rights and income from the books, and the publication of a possible fourth book. Gabrielsson has written a new memoir in which she details her version of the story.
