Barbara Kopple) &#8212; DVD 2032<br \/><b>Chapter 3<\/b>: \u201cAt the River I Stand\u201d (1993, d. David Appleby, Allison Graham and Steven Ross) &#8212;&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/proxyau.wrlc.org\/login?url=http:\/\/www.american.edu\/customcf\/catalog_video.cfm?callNum=3754288\">Streaming Video<\/a><br \/><b>Chapter 4<\/b>: \u201cSalt of the Earth\u201d (1954, d. Herbert J. Biberman) &#8212; HU DVD 5560<br \/><b>Chapter 5<\/b>: \u201cNorma Rae\u201d (1979, d. Martin Ritt) &#8212; HU DVD 440<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin: 12pt 0in\">I&#8217;m kind of surprised that <i>On The Waterfront<\/i> (HU DVD 7750) didn&#8217;t make this list. But, for further study, we recommend <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Matewan\"><i>Matewan<\/i><\/a> (DVD 1651), a film about the Battle of Matewan. We also recommend <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Native_Land\"><i>Native Land<\/i><\/a>&nbsp;(DVD 10448), a 1942 documentary film about labor organizing featuring Paul Robeson. Unfortunately, it looks like we don&#8217;t have a filmed version of the Lynn Nottage play <i><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sweat_(play)\">Sweat<\/a>&nbsp;<\/i>(PS3564.O795 S94 2017) which won the Pulitzer for Drama.
