Mission Statement
The Peace Corps Community Archive collects, exhibits, and provides educational and public programs that document the experiences and impact of individuals who served in the Peace Corps and of individuals and institutions in host countries.

Goals

  • Align programming with educational missions and research agendas of American University.
  • Enrich the Archive through partnerships with the National Peace Corps Association, Peace Corps and associated graduate programs, and other organizations.
  • Increase awareness of the history of the Peace Corps.
  • Create a directory of Peace Corps-related collections.

Hours
Monday through Friday – 9am to 5pm – Appointments are encouraged.
Archives staff will photocopy and/or scan selected materials for researchers according to donor restrictions and fee schedule
Researchers are welcome to take digital photographs.
