National Harbor continues its summer film series this Thursday with a screening of The American President, a 1995 film directed by Aaron Sorkin that eventually inspired the writer to produce The West Wing. Michael Douglas plays President Andrew Shepherd, a chief executive who faces many of the same problems that Josiah Bartlet would later encounter — sometimes with the exact same dialogue!
