The ignite style format was developed in Seattle as a way to stimulate conversation and networking. The talks are limited to 5 minutes, with 20 slides that advance automatically every 20 seconds. The organizers help prepare the speakers with guidance to make the Powerpoints use visual imagery and only 3-5 words for each slide.
