Washington, D.C. is a great area for film lovers, with regular festivals and events happening throughout the year—and this month is no exception. Here is a list of three upcoming film festivals in the area.
The 12th Annual Annapolis Film Festival starts today, Thursday, April 4th, with a showing of Thelma at Maryland Hall. Consisting of 70+ films, panels, and events taking place over four days in seven different venues, the Annapolis Film Festival celebrates the way cinema can connect us. There are a variety of ticket packages and festival pass options available, including tickets to individual films or festival passes offering admission to unlimited films and panels (there’s also a special student discount).

Most of the screenings will take place at Landmark’s E Street Cinema. Tickets for most films are $14, but can be purchased at a discount this weekend (April 5th through April 7th).
